Harakiri to Play Progressive Soundscape Evening
Old Arizona has teamed up with EMI audio and the most exciting new progressive rock acts in the twin cities to bring you a "Progressive Sound-scape Evening". The show features solo percussionist Scotty Horey, the epic and hard driving RisingSide, the groovy and progressive Harakiri, and of course, a great selection of drinks from the Old Arizona's well known beer and wine bar. The show celebrates the beginning of a more regular live music presence at the Old Arizona.

Harakiri Hops on the Bill with Thank You Scientist
Claudio Sanchez has officially launched his record label Evil Ink Records and his first signing is New Jersey’s young experimental progressive rock septet Thank You Scientist. Thank You Scientist is currently on tour with Coheed and Cambria right now. On October 26th they will be in St. Paul Minnesota where they will be playing with Harakiri and Portrait on Fire at Amsterdam Bar and Hall. Tickets are available for $8 through Harakiri or through perchasing them online. Show start starts at 7 p.m. and the show is 18+.

Harakiri definitely takes some patience and some getting used to, but isn’t that true of all your favorite music? We lent an ear to a couple of songs from their upcoming album and the first thing that strikes you is the songs have unusual bridges and tempo shifts, added to blazing shots of amazing melody that gives everything an indelible sense of being. In fact, it’s this very same complex and creative song structures, the tempo changes, the dynamic contrasts and the way this band can stop and start on a dime, that truly makes them so endearing!
